Would you believe that I would be doing another car themed mod so soon? This one is for a friend, but will
not be as detailed as my Cuda 440
Here's the inspiration car:

Here it is with the door on the front
And then removed, because I'm not keeping it on
I taped it off for painting
And used a flat black for the inside
Time to measure out the top exhaust
Here's where it'll go
I set the hood pins on top
And measured one and half inches
I laid the drive bay covers out
And paint them gold
And then put them back in
I then taped off two of the three lines I need to paint
And did it in place
This is how it's supposed to look when done
Here's with the tape removed
The letters were $3
I put the letters on from right to left so they'd line up correctly
First thing I did today was to cut out the top exhaust
I worked on the hood pins too. 1st I drilled the holes
Then cut and prepped the "pins"
I use JB Weld to hold them in place
And set them in place
I added a 120mm rear exhaust fan
I decided to remove the pin striping.
I'm going to use real pin striping that you buy for a car instead
So I bought thin gold and black pinstriping
I still need to get the 2 inch wide gold band to go in the middle
So I cut out the vinyl into 1 1/2 inch wide strips for the top
As I applied it I stretched it out so that the creases would disappear
The window has to go. It has venting lines on it and would look stupid on a car
I just had to lift the tabs to remove the window
I then used the old window to trace out a new one
And then I cut the small holes for the tabs and set it in
The Mustang emblem arrived. It's with my phone for a size comparison
Then I painted the front mesh gold to match everything else
And easily mounted the emblem
The hood scoop has arrived!
