I popped the LCD from the 5.25 shroud

Here's so you can get an idea of how thick it is.

I'm going to be using my own shroud that's bendable to the shape of R2.

The LCD edges have to be painted to match R2

The new shroud got a blast of white plastic primer first.

Then the blue to tie it all together

Then I stuck it on.  I'm not sure if I'm happy with the way it looks though.

Now, to do the Phase Change cooling setup.  I removed the heatsink brackett from the motherboard.

Each of the posts screws into the insullated backplate that's behind the motherboard.

The processor had be totally covered in protectant silicone.  This is messy and a scary sight to those not used to phase change cooling.

The socket 478 requires a piece of insulation here:

The processor was put back in place.  When I pushed down, all the excess silicone squeezed out.  I used a Q-tip to clean it off.

And lastly, another piece of insullation goes over the posts.  Hopefully it'll keep all the cold on the processor.
